"I've got money. It's trust and character I need around me. You know, who you choose to be around you lets you know who you are."

I don't take many pictures with G. But when we do, we're usually craving  carne asada fries.

"She told me boy, you want your cake and eat it too? I said it's cake. It's what you're supposed to do."

Over the last month or so, I've been on a real crazy shoe binge. Not sure if it's me being a little too comfortable with tax return money or me just being bored since I've been done with school, but I've been spending way too much on shoes. Within the last month and a half I think I bought around 5 pairs of shoes? But in that time, I was able to purchase some of my favorite shoes of all time.

Cool Grey Jordan IVs have eluded me since their release back in 2004. Yes, 10 years ago. I wanted these shoes, and they actually came out around the time of my birthday but we were really too broke for me to be asking for $125 shoes for my birthday. I let them slide, and my then brother-in-law even had a pair. I was super jealous. Even asked to borrow them a few times. I loved those shoes. And I finally got em!

In the last few months I picked up black toe AJKO's, the IVs, the Cole Haan Lunar Grand Wingtips, Concord Jordan XI lows, and some Agassi's. At least they're all shoes that I've always wanted and nothing was really an impulse buy. But as much as I do love shoes, I told myself to set limits. From here on out, the only shoes I will purchase are the Kobe 9 flyknit lows, Yeezys (yeah right.), and possibly some KD7s for basketball purposes. That's it. (I hope.)

7 Days

The last week has been a strange random assortment of events. From attending weddings in Sacramento, to impromptu trips to SF to spend the night with Gianina, I've kind of been all over the place. (I realized that I'm posting pics from this trip but have yet to post the ones from the February one.) I also won my first shoe raffle for a shoe that I kinda randomly wanted. I guess you only win if you don't really want that shoe.

On top of that, my friend hooked it up with some tickets to a 10th Anniversary Screening of Mean Girls out in LA. It's probably kind of unexpected to hear me talk about Mean Girls but for some reason, I saw that movie a million times while at iPoly and actually started to like the movie. It really is a good movie. But lets be real, I went because I heard that Lacey Chabert was going to be there. That's all. Well, my little brother had never seen the movie. So him getting to watch the movie for the first time in a packed theater with the director and some of the cast in attendance seemed like a cool idea.

Back to the SF trip. It was a breath of fresh air to finally get some time to just relax and talk with Gianina. While it was mainly us just bar hopping and me ranting and venting about lady problems, it was exactly what I needed. Rooftop bars, sushi, hoodrat things, the infamous Tunnel Top, and Sunday Dim Sum. It was perfect. I can't thank G enough. Thank you.
